Opal's Story

Meet Opal!

She is an affectionate lap kitty and will take it upon herself to jump on your lap or chest sometimes when you sit down or lay down.. If you love a cat to keep you company while you watch TV, then Opal would be perfect.

She loves food and will need to be portioned out food 2 to 3 times per day to promote a healthy weight (no free-feeding for her!).

Opal gets along with other cats. She can get a little playful sometimes. She doesn't usually play with other cats but she does occasionally gets playful and frisky with our foster kitten, Sassy. If you are considering two cats, Sassy and Opal would make a great pair as they are already buddies.

Opal would be ok with older children who understand kitty boundaries (where a cat likes and doesn't like to be pet). We don't know if she has been around dogs but would probably do fine around a calm dog.

She is spayed, has had all her shots, tested negative for FeL/FIV, dewormed and treated for fleas. She had also had a much needed dental cleaning with some extractions - her teeth are now nice and clean! There is an adoption application and adoption fee.

Our Mission
Our mission is to find homes for street cats and young feral cats. Through trapping, veterinary care and socializing, we prepare cats for their furrever homes and match them with potential adopters. We also aim to decrease the feral cat population through trap-neuter-release efforts and feral cat colony management.
