LowCountry Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Not all animals attend weekly adoption events. If you are interested in meeting a specific animal, please email us for an application as a pre-approved application is required in order to adopt from the event ***** Adoption event Saturday 2-14-25 at Petsmart in Summerville in the Azalea Square Shopping Center next to Kohl's. We will be there from 1-4pm. ***** Adoption event Saturday 2-21-26 at Petco in West Ashley 975 Savannah Hwy. in the Harris Teeter Shopping Center. We will be there from 1-4pm. ***** Adoption event Saturday 2-28-26 at Petsmart in N. Chas 8821 Dorchester Rd in the Cedar Grove Shopping Center, We will be there from 1-4pm. ***** Adoption event Saturday 1-17-26 at Petco in West Ashley 975 Savannah Hwy. in the Harris Teeter Shopping Center. We will be there from 1-4pm. ***** Adoption event Saturday 1-24-26 at Petsmart in N. Chas 8821 Dorchester Rd in the Cedar Grove Shopping Center, We will be there from 1-4pm. ***** Adoption event Saturday 1-31-26 at Petsmart in James Island 805 Folly Rd. We will be there from 1-4pm. ***** Adoption event Saturday 2-7-26 at Petsmart in North Charleston on Rivers Ave. in in the Best Buy Shopping Center. We will be there from 1-4pm. ***** We have no facility. All of our dogs live in foster homes. Since we are all volunteers, including the director, that also work and have families, the ONLY day we do dog adoptions is on Saturdays from 1 to 4 at the event. ***** In order to guarantee any dog will be at the event, you must first complete and return an application to be preapproved and an appointment time set. ***** Some animals require a vet reference in the applicant's name which means they must own or have owned a pet in the last 10 years. If you would like to adopt a dog under the age of three years or Cat under the age of 1 year vet reference is required. ***** We prefer to adopt in the Tri-County area first. If the dog has been in our care for longer than two months, the director may consider an adoption at a greater distance.
