Opal's Story

Opal is a beautiful eight month old Snowshoe Siamese girl with striking blue eyes and a gentle, tender nature. She was found outside and rescued, and is now safe and ready to find a loving forever home. Opal is spayed, vaccinated, and fully litter box trained.

Opal has a permanent deformity of one front leg caused by an old injury that resulted in radial nerve paralysis. Her leg is smaller and held in a bent position, and she does not use it when walking. The condition is stable and not painful, and Opal has adapted remarkably well. She moves comfortably and lives happily as a three-legged kitty.

Opal enjoys human company and loves attention and gentle affection. She is quiet, calm, naturally shy, and not very confident. It is likely that she suffered a serious leg injury when she was a very young kitten and miraculously survived on her own, which may have shaped her cautious personality. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, Opal blossoms into a very sweet and devoted companion. She is truly a delight to be around. Once feeling safe, she likes to play and cuddle.

Opal would do best with caring, cat loving people who understand that shy kitties sometimes need a little extra time and reassurance to feel safe. She was rescued recently and still learning to trust people , she has wonderful potential to open up even more with a gentle and patient family. In return, Opal will bring quiet companionship and gentle affection to the home that gives her a chance.

If you feel Opal might be the right match for your family, please contact us by email or text message at 916-801-2243 and share a little about yourself and why you would like to welcome this beautiful girl into your life.
