Opal's Story
Sometimes the cats who need us most are the ones who take a little longer to let us in.

Opal is a beautiful 6-year-old tortie-point Siamese mix who is front-paw declawed. She is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where she can be the only animal and, more than anything, have someone willing to be patient with her.

For Opal, these requirements are especially important. She will not be placed in a home where other animals may regularly visit. When children or other animals are introduced into her environment, Opal becomes extremely stressed and will stop eating. Because of this, she needs a calm, predictable home without children or other pets coming and going.

Opal may not immediately show you the sweet, loving girl she is. She needs time to feel safe, time to trust, and someone who understands that earning her heart is worth the wait.

Once Opal feels comfortable, she has so much love to give.

She isn't looking for a busy home or someone who expects her to instantly become their best friend. She's looking for her person - someone who will respect what she needs, give her the time and patience she deserves, and allow her to discover just how special and loved she can be.

We know Opal's perfect person is out there.
