Onyx was born in March 2026. He is a sleek black kitten with a gorgeous, shiny coat, and we think hell grow into a long, lean, elegant boy. <br/><br/>Onyx started out as a very shy little guy, but he's making wonderful progress in his foster home as he learns that people can be safe and kind. He is still cautious, but when hes picked up and held, he quickly settles in and begins to purr. With each passing day, his curiosity is starting to outweigh his fear, and more of his sweet personality is shining through.<br/><br/>Once Onyx feels comfortable, his playful side comes alive! He purrs while chasing toys and loves playing soccer with his balls—sometimes proudly carrying them around in his mouth. He has also begun playing with the resident cats and can often be found curled up asleep with his foster cat dad and his brother, Flynt.<br/><br/>Onyx shares a special bond with Flynt, who is an important source of comfort and confidence for him. Having his brother nearby helps Onyx feel secure and brings out his braver, more playful side, so the pair would be happiest finding a home together.<br/><br/>Onyx will thrive in a gentle, patient household with an adopter who understands that trust may take a little time. Plenty of play, reassurance, good food, and a safe place to call his own will help him continue to blossom.
