Onion's Story

Onion was found on my last trip to Egypt living in a garden with about fifty feral cats. She was too friendly to leave there to live out her life as a street cat and was brought to our clinic partner for her medical care and spay. She is your typical Mau full of energy and wanting to be with you to help oversea all activites. Onion is negative for FIV/FELV, spayed, vaccinated, and has been treated for fleas and worms. She has a registered microchip and a rabies blood titre as well.

Adoption donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law and are on a cost recovery basis.

https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11596/generic

Native Mau Cats of Egypt are the oldest known descendants of Egyptian domesticated cats (which have provided a partial foundation for the recent Egyptian Mau cat breed), and they are one of only a few naturally-occurring, small, spotted cats in the world. Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and by an approved application. NVEcats aims to increase education in Egypt and around the world about these magnificent and intelligent cats.

Cats and kittens are not adopted out on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We choose to match our applicant and cats based on what we deem as best suited for that particular cat or kitten.
