Onion's Story
Meet Onion !

Onion is one of 14 kittens who were abandoned on our doorstep, and she was one of the four older kittens in the group. While she may have more of an adult-sized body now, don't let that fool you! Onion is still a kitten age-wise and isn't even a year old yet!

When Onion first arrived at FMAR, she and her siblings were absolutely terrified of people. She spent much of her time in foster care, where she slowly began to come out of her shell and learn that the world wasn't such a scary place after all. She's made progress in her own time, and while she may not be the type to run up and demand attention, she's learning that people aren't so bad!

Onion is comfortable being held, handled, and loved on once she's given the chance to settle in. She's just not much of an affection-seeker herself. Instead, she's discovered one of life's simple pleasures: sunbathing in a nice, sunny window! Toward the end of her time in foster care, she was perfectly content lounging in the sunshine, no matter who happened to be around. Honestly, can you blame her?

Onion would do best in a home with another friendly feline companion, and going home with one of her siblings could be a wonderful option! Having another cat around helps give her confidence and makes navigating a new environment a little less intimidating. She would especially benefit from a companion who can show her the ropes and help her continue coming out of her shell.

As for dogs, Onion is not a fan, so a dog-free home is a must for this girl.

Onion is looking for a patient home that will let her settle in at her own pace, with a feline friend to help her feel secure. She may not be the first one to jump into your lap, but with time, understanding, and a sunny spot to call her own, she has the opportunity to keep growing into the cat she's meant to be.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.
