One-Eyed Jack's Story
Meet One-Eyed Jack!

Born in 2019 or 2020, this handsome brown tabby is slowly lumbering into early middle age with all the swagger of a gentleman who has absolutely nothing to prove. Mostly because he's a LITTLE on the chunky side. Jack recently had one eye removed after some rather unfortunate plant debris got lodged in it, but he's taken the whole thing in stride. Having one eye seems to have very little effect on how he goes about his business, which is to say, calmly, comfortably, and with plenty of aplomb. He did gain about three pounds during his recovery, though, so he's currently working on his summer (or perhaps next summer) body. His adopters will need to help him along with his weight-loss journey! Jack is also FIV-positive, which means he'll need a family who understands his health needs and is ready to give him the happy, comfortable life he deserves.

Jack is ready to return to the indoor life after finding himself rather inhospitably put outside for reasons unknown. All we know is that this boy is a couch potato, and LORD KNOWS your couch looks REEEEEEAL cozy. He's an easygoing fellow who seems to coexist quite peacefully with the other cats in his room here at the shelter, so we think he may do well with other friendly cats following proper introductions. FIV is primarily spread between cats through deep bite wounds, so peaceful households with compatible cats can often be a good fit. Are you looking for a sweet, stout little tabby to grace your home with quiet companionship and an abundance of dignity? One-Eyed Jack would love that. You'd love that. Let's be real. Come meet this sweet boy today!

One-Eyed Jack's adoption fee is $130 and includes:

- Neuter surgery
- Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations
- Flea and worm treatment
- Veterinary examination
- A bag of food to get him started in his new home

That's $300–$500 worth of veterinary care and goodies for just $130!
