Omar

Omar was brought to the Lighthouse by a concerned neighbor who trapped a couple of cats in his backyard.

Omar seemed to be house-trained and friendly from day one. We suspect he used to be a house cat before he escaped or was abandoned. Regardless, it was not until his release from quarantine to the general population where his Opera career took off. Omar can hold a note for as long as it takes for you to notice this majestic giant.

He loves and craves an audience. He does not enjoy being in a cage, so he composed an aria especially to express his dislike of confined spaces. Omar is not as noisy as it sounds. He just figured that a loud mouth gets him what he wants quicker.

This gentle giant has nothing but love to give. Although he came from the streets, Omar has won the heart of the volunteers for being sweet and gentle.

He is good with all cats. However, he has trouble to read the room sometimes when the other cats are done with his songs. We recommend Omar goes to a family regardless of cats in the house. We do recommend the household cat(s) to be mellow in personality. He would be good with children, but we do not know about dogs.

Come meet this flashy guy!

Visitors are limited to approved applicants only.
