Olympia and Echo (Substantially discounted adoption fee)'s Story
Grey boy Olympia and his gray-and-white brother Echo are a pair of three-year old bonded boys who lost their homes due to eviction.  Naturally, they were quite traumatized by the experience and it took them a while to adjust, but thanks to their patience of their fosters, they are now ready for their new forever home.  These two boys love their toys, their treats, and using each other as pillows when they sleep. They are strongly bonded and will pine for each other if they are in separate rooms with doors shut, so we will give no thought to adopting them separately-- they love snuggling with each other and will make happy mews and purr when they’re together. They would do best in an interactive home where they’ll get lots of attention, preferably a quiet environment as they are easily spooked by sudden noises, so they would not do well in a home with the bustle of young children.  They would do best in a home with adopters who are experienced with cats and can provide them with enough patience and interaction to help them adjust to their new environment. Perhaps you need them as much as they need you. <br/><br/>They have been neutered, are current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Their adopter will receive their medical records. They're being fostered in Somerville. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits.  There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In their case, the adoption fee has been reduced to a mere $95 for the pair, which reflects a substantial discount to facilitate them getting adopted together and the reality that they will require patience from their adopters-- a bargain for a pair of new best friends who will grow to be devoted companions for life. Cats can live past 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.
