Ollie's Story

Ollie is currently in foster care and ready for adoption via our virtual process!

Ollie, a six-year-old male, just arrived and is still getting settled in, so we're just beginning to learn who they are. Right now, everything is new-new people, new sounds, new routines-and we're giving them time to relax, decompress, and show us their true personality at their own pace.

Here's what we know so far about his time in foster care: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:6133feef-2f6d-4e3f-9103-21487efd143d

He has settled in nicely with his foster. They say "He's grown so much in such a short time! He was a little shy at first as he decompressed from the shelter, but now follows me all around my apartment and it's only our fourth day together! He's very curious and talkative. He loves a head scratch, cuddling on the couch, and watching birds outside. He's starting to show his playful side today, running around my apartment and being more engaged with toys. He's very affectionate and Iikes to be involved in whatever I'm doing. He feels like a true companion! He likes watching birds outside and on my TV, it's very entertaining. He's also an expert biscuit maker! He's gotten incredibly comfortable with me and my apartment. He has a very sweet and calm temperament. He's starting to show more of his independent side by exploring the apt, but also loves to be a companion and sit near me and be involved what I'm doing."

Ollie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had preventative treatments to ensure he is ready for his next steps.

Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via phone or email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org.

Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved.
