Olivia's Story

Olivia here! I'm a super sweet 5-year-old girl who's looking for a fresh start after being surrendered due to allergies. I may not understand why things changed, but I do know I'm ready to find a home where I can feel safe, cozy, and loved again.

One of my favorite hobbies? Burrowing under blankets. Whether it's my little safety cocoon or just the comfiest spot in the house, you can bet I'll be tucked in somewhere soft. I'm pretty independent most of the time - I enjoy my self-care and quiet moments - but when I'm in the mood for love, I'll absolutely come ask for it. And at bedtime? I transform into the ultimate cuddle bug. There's nothing better than snuggling up and ending the day together. I do need to stay on a urinary diet because I've had crystals in the past, and we want to prevent that from ever happening again. Keeping me on the right food will help me stay happy and healthy long term.

I've lived with another cat (my sister was my longtime companion), and while we weren't bonded, I'm definitely used to having a feline friend around. I'd likely do best with another kind cat who won't pick on me. I've also lived with a dog before and coexisted just fine! Older kids would be best for me, as younger ones can feel a little overwhelming based on my past experiences.

I'm spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped - all ready to settle into my new forever home. If you're looking for a sweet, blanket-burrowing best friend who balances independence with the softest bedtime cuddles, I think we'll be perfect together.

Animal Care Society Inc's Adoption Policy
Visit our web site at http://www.animalcaresociety.org/ Why Adopt from ACS? One of the best things about life is that it’s full of second chances! When people adopt a new family member from a shelter they are giving a pet a second chance in life! Many folks go to a breeder for a specific type of pet but those same animals can be found at the Animal Care Society! And if there isn’t such an animal at our shelter, ACS staffers are happy to refer interested parties to the RIGHT breed rescue group! The pets available at the Animal Care Society are special. Careful selection, constant socialization, diligent loving daily care and even hand raised kittens and puppies make our candidates for adoption a premium in the shelter world. While we are still a shelter, we make every effort to make a cat or dog feel at home here! It goes a long way in deferring some of the kennel fatigue experienced by shelter animals.
