Oliver “Ollie”'s Story

Hey there, the names Oliver but my foster mom calls me “Ollie” ?????

I'm a cat... mostly. See, I was raised by dogs, and it turns out that their training methods were, shall we say, a bit too effective. I've been known to fetch (crumpled paper only, please), come when called (sometimes), and wag my tail when I'm happy (it's less graceful, more of a frantic twitch). While other cats are busy plotting world domination and ignoring your pleas, I've been mastering the art of being a "good boy." I'll sit for treats, I’m house-trained, which is more than I can say for my canine mentors, but I also think mail carriers are a personal affront. I require belly rubs and a human who understands that while I may bark at squirrels on the TV, I will also nap for 18 hours a day.

Let's be honest, I'm a cat living in a dog's world and I've been forced to learn some… unusual skills. Thanks to my dog-obsessed foster family, I now understand the nuances of the "stay" command and the absolute tragedy of a "no." I can also be a little ornery, which means if you have a doggie; chances are I’m going to smack them around to keep them in line. I’m probably more of a doggie trainer than any human; they just seem to listen to me so well. I like to talk too, so don’t be surprised if you hear me saying hello; just respond back hey!

I’m definitely a curious cat with lots of investigating to do. Nothing gets past me! No siree. If you’re after an active cat who is very playful and loving, but serious and independent come and check me out!
