Oliver (Olie)'s Story
Meet Oliver (Olie) - A special and unique cat with a super sweet, kitten-like meow, seeking an equally special and intuitive human.

Oliver seeks someone who is calm and understanding of the quiet language of cats who understands connection is a mutual dance of trust. He is many things; tall, lean, athletic, strong, sweet, confident, high-strung, and reserved —with a quirky twist. Since kittenhood, he’s had the endearing habit of sitting upright on his tailbone, like a person just hanging-out. If you catch him doing it, it’s a rare and delightful sight!

Rescued from the streets as a partially socialized kitten, Oliver’s journey took a turn when his adoptive family had to move overseas unexpectedly to care for a terminally ill relative. Since then, he’s been patiently waiting with multiple other foster cats and did not get the full attention he needs and craves to become a fully confident & out-going cat. He really needs his own human with minimal other pets to fully come out of his shell.

Oliver prefers to initiate affection. Try to rush in and he may slip away. Give him space, and he’ll reward you by flopping down for pets and purring with abandon. He can be picked up—but only in a way that respects his boundaries: with an arm under his belly and held gently by your side. No hoisting, please. He doesn’t enjoy confinement and thrives in calm, open environments. He’s a beta type with other cats—easygoing, gentle, and non-confrontational.

He formed a gentle friendship with a younger, shy female foster named Marmalade Sandy (also featured on our Petfinder page). She often seeks Oliver out for reassurance, and while they don’t have to be adopted as a pair, it would be a lovely, heart-warming outcome. That said, the reality of them finding their own permanent, loving home is more important than them remaining together in their multi-cat foster situation where they are not their happiest.
https://www.petfinder.com/cat/marmalade-sandy-73016486/ca/beverly-hills/the-deleon-foundation-ca3168/

Give Oliver—and maybe Sandy too—the loving home they’ve been waiting for!!
