Oliver's Story
Meet Oliver!
If you love cats, but like the way a dog plays, then we have got the perfect cat-dog for you! When Oliver wants to play, he will grab your attention by swatting at your ankle, bare legs beware, lol. He also loves to play with anything dangly, shoes strings, wands, or a string with a toy on the end of it. Because Oliver's eyes pull to the left, he can be bit delayed with reactions. Oliver likes to be in the same room as his humans, but is not needy. If you sit down, he will come over to you and immediately start making biscuits! Oliver is a laid-back, chill guy who likes to play a little rough but is super loyal. Oliver is a great cat that will make himself comfortable in your home and in your heart if given a chance!
Note: He is not picky about food, he likes other cats, and is ok with dogs.

Note: Oliver is FIV+ . FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is not a deadly virus. FIV+ cats with homes can and DO live long, healthy normal lives when given the chance. They can live & interact with cats that are not FIV + as it is not easily spread to other cats; it cannot be spread to dogs or humans. Statistically, most FIV + cats can live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. For more information on FIV please refer to the following link: https://vbspca.com/what-you-should-know-when-adopting-an-fiv-positive-cat?sfns=mo .

Location:
Temporary foster home.
For an appointment for a meet & greet, please 1) fill out an online adoption application first and 2) email: adopt@thecatcornerinc.com to request an appointment.

More Adoption details: An important part of the process is to match the life-style and needs of the adopter with the individual animal being adopted. Once you have fallen in love with your purrfect match, you will need to complete an adoption application. We have the online adoption application or you may fill out a paper application in person at The Cat Corner location. We do not do "same-day adoptions". Here is more about our adoption process and a link to fill out our online adoption application: www.thecatcornerinc.com/adoption-processAdoption Package
The list below includes all of the basic services that each of our cats receives:

Spay/Neuter surgery
Feline Leukemia/FIV combo test (cats)
Heartworm test (dogs)
Microchip with free lifetime registration
Rabies vaccination
FVRCP (Feline distemper) vaccination
Bordetella vaccination (dogs)
De-worming treatments
Flea treatment
Full senior blood panel (8+ years of age)
Starter food
Behavioral assessment
A continuing resource to answer any of your questions or concerns
Our adoption fee helps to offset the services that we provide for your newest furry addition. It also acts as a donation to help support our organization as a whole, allowing us to continue our efforts to rescue and re-home cats in need of our help.

Applying to Adopt
Once you and your family have spent time with the cats in the adoption room and are ready to adopt,
please visit the adoption section of our website: www.thecatcornerinc.com/adopt
Our adoption process page will provide you with all of the information you need to know about adopting through our organization, including what to expect, what information we will require from you, and finding your purrfect match.

Thank You For Choosing to Adopt!!
As a no-kill rescue, we can only bring in and save more cats and kittens in need as our current cats and kittens are adopted. This is why we say that when you adopt one cat or kitten you are actually saving TWO lives! One is the current cat or kitten that you are adopting, the second is the one that we now have room to save and place into our safe shelter.

About The Cat Corner
The Cat Corner, Inc. is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that does not receive any federal, state or local government funding. We depend solely from the generosity of caring individuals from our community to continue to do our work.

thecatcornerinc.com
facebook.com/thecatcornerinc
