Olga's Story
Meet Olga! Olga is a spayed female Domestic Shorthair cat.
Olga came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about her past. We believe she is around 8-10 years old, but that could be off by a few years as we are just guessing based off of her overall condition. Olga came to us with a very severe ear infection and some dental issues. We've been treating these problems and she is already doing much better, but her adopter will need to stay on top of her health to make sure she isn't getting sick again.
Since Olga was a stray, we don't know for sure if she's been around other animals or kids before. She's been pretty chill here, but we haven't actually tested her with anyone. If she does go to a home with other pets or children, her adopter will need to make sure they aren't bothering her too much. Olga is getting up there in years, and it would be easy for another pet to bully her away from food, or for kids to stress her out too much. She honestly deserves a home where she can spend her golden years in some well-deserved peace!
We know it can be daunting to adopt a senior animal, but we don't want Olga's age to hinder her from finding a forever home. Housecats can live a long time given the proper care, and just because she's elderly doesn't mean she is out of love to give! On the contrary, Olga is a very affectionate cat, and loves to be pet by her favorite humans. She would love to be in a home where she can spend the day cat-napping with her best friend, keeping you company. It is important, though, that Olga's adopter be prepared to take her to the vet for regular check-ups. At her age, it is also not safe for her to be allowed outside as she can't properly defend herself, so we will only be adopting her to a home that will keep her strictly indoors.
Olga has been started on her vaccines and is ready for her forever home! If you think this sweet soul could be the cat for you, stop by and meet her today!
