We don't know much about Okie's start in life, but we do know he is thankful to be indoors with full bowls of food and cat condos to snuggle into. He is a shy boy who is working daily on his confidence, ready for his next chapter in life with a special someone to continue to reassure him that love and comfort await him for all your 10 lives together. Okie enjoys warm sun beams where he can catnap and the company of cat friends. Hw would benefit from another friendly feline to show him the ropes and help him open up. He loves his squeeze up treats and is starting to show signs of being a good cuddle buddy. Before you know it, you'll have the purr-fect best friend by your side as the cold nights roll in. About Ten Lives: Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

We ask all potential adopters to complete an adoption application. A veterinary reference and proof of home ownership OR landlords approval is required. After everything rescue cats have been through, our top priority is placing them into the best matched forever homes. We treat each cat as an individual and assess potential adopters based on that cat’s needs.
