Odette's Story
Odette is a sleek, graceful grey beauty with a quiet charm and a heart that blooms once she feels safe. She may be shy at first and take some time to trust, but in the right calm, low-noise home, her sweet and gentle nature truly shines. Odette loves lounging in cat trees up high or having comfy cat-beds she can hide in down low. Soaking up sunlight from her window perch, and surveying the world like the princess she is, Odette loves on her own terms and prefers to not be picked up. She also likes to play a little game of rubbing against things with her tail held high in confidence-sometimes even offering a teasing nose boop-before darting away if you approach too quickly. She's a girl who enjoys keeping a bit of mystery, and she's definitely hard to get sometimes. It's the best feeling ever to win her trust, because then she rolls over to show you her belly! She tenses up if you touch the belly (that's a no-zone), but if you continue with chin scratches and head-pets, then you will find her purring. While not a lap cat, she enjoys this gentle- slow affection approach. Petting her rear end is not the way to make friends with her, but open a can of wet food or give her a churu treat - now that's her love language-and her adorable little pooch belly only adds to her charm.

Odette appreciates her independence and isn't looking for a feline best friend, though she'll peacefully coexist with other cats who respect her space, she needs her own territory preferring to be the single cat for her next home. She's also met dogs before and wasn't particularly bothered. Odette is looking for a home that understands her boundaries, gives her the security she craves, and celebrates her for the special, self-assured companion she is.
