Oakland's Story

With her luxurious black and white fur and brilliant green eyes, Oakland is as beautiful as she is resilient! She was rescued in Oakland, CA at just 7 weeks old. She was born with deformities to all four legs: her front legs were able to be corrected as a kitten, leaving the back two that now point in unique directions, but that doesn’t slow her down for a second! With proper medical care and a ton of love and time to grow, she has become a funny, strong, and independent girl. She does take a moment to get used to new faces–although she doesn’t love to be held and carried around, she does love attention from people and other cats!

For Oakland to have a full life at home with you, she needs you to continue her monthly Solensia injections and weekly Adequan injections for her arthritis in her back legs, and she needs cat trees in order to climb, but she is otherwise completely independent! Oakland would be happy as an only cat, or with a companion: She grew up with the other adoptable HOBC cats, and would love to bring one of her lifelong friends home with her!

Cats with special needs like Oakland’s require at least some extra time, attention, and financial consideration than the average cat, and we want to ensure that you and Oakland will be an excellent match! When you’re ready, please press the “More About Us” button to find our adoption application! Fill out the PDF and email it to us at houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com. (PetFinder inquiries alone will not be considered.) From there, we will contact you for a phone interview, and to possibly arrange a meet-and-greet after that. Thank you for considering this beautiful girl!

Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped
