Meet Nutmeg — the sweet little introvert of her litter, and a quiet soul just waiting for the right person to love. If her personality were a Friday night, she'd be curled up with a cozy blanket, fuzzy slippers on, nose in a good book, and a warm cup of tea by her side. She's that soft-spoken girl who wants to be loved deeply... she just won't be the first to say it. Nutmeg is slow to warm up, but once she feels safe, she begins to blossom. She needs a patient adopter who will let her adjust on her timeline — not theirs. She tolerates being held and, with trust, she'll eventually melt into your lap and enjoy that comfort more and more. Because fast movements and loud noises make her nervous, Nutmeg would do best in a home with children 10+ who understand how to give a shy kitty space and kindness. She's currently being fostered with a resident dog and cat, plus her mama and siblings, and she's learning how to coexist with everyone. Once Nutmeg begins to feel comfortable, she reveals her sweetest traits: quietly toddling after her humans, playing nearby, and choosing to be in the same room as the people she trusts.
