NUBS's Story

Nubs earned his cute name because he was born with a short stubby tail! He and his brother, Tailz, were rescued from a barn as young kittens and have been cared for in foster care since they were about 3 months old. He has medium hair and long white hair in his ears!! Nubs enjoys playing with his brother and running around the room chasing him. He sometimes sleeps with his brother but not always. Nubs is fostered in a home with younger children and other cats. We would like to see Nubs and Tailz adopted together, but this is not a requirement for their adoptions. Nubs is still slow to warm up to humans, but he is making progress each day and having his brother around helps too! Nubs is current on initial vaccinations and has tested NEGATIVE for FeLV/FIV. He has received consistent flea treatments and deworming according to vet recommendations/protocols. Nubs also has a microchip that can be registered and maintained for free. Interested in Nubs?? Cats In Knead's Adoption Policy

*Please note-the location listed (Karns City) is our mailing address (required by PetFinder)...it is NOT the location of where the cat/kitten is fostered. Most of our cats/kittens are fostered in the Butler County area. Procedures: Potential adopters contact our organization via email or through social media messages. We are currently only operating a Facebook page at this time, until we can gain more volunteers who can help us expand our social media and website platform. An adoption application is sent to the interested adopter via email (Google link). Once the application is received back to Cats In Knead, it is reviewed by our Foster Coordinator. References are called, addresses are confirmed and the vet reference listed is contacted. If any of the responses do not align with our beliefs regarding adoption, or if false information is given, the application will be denied. If everything looks good on the application, the Foster Coordinator contacts the applicant and follows up with some simple questions, then coordinates a meet and greet with the foster and the potential adopter. After the meet and greet (which only occurs at the foster home), the potential adopter contacts the foster coordinator with their input regarding the visit. We reserve the right to conduct a home visit with the potential adopter at any time before, during or after the adoption process. If adopters are approved, they will also be required to review and sign a contract, which will be maintained by Cats In Knead.
