Nublin's Story
On July 16, 2026 a young kitten (est age 6-16-26), black and white male, came to Northwood Animal Hospital with severe injury (or congenital defect) of his right front paw. He was found at Pensacola and White streets.

He was missing most (but not all) of the toes on the right front paw. He still had the large metacarpal pad. There was a large healing wound extending up from the paw. It was unclear initially if we could save the leg or if amputation would be needed in the future.

The kitten (we named Nublin) improved with medical treatment. He was using the mangled paw quite well. He seemed to have enough functional weight bearing surfaces left that the decision was made NOT to amputate.

We have been battling intestinal parasites in Nublin (specifically coccidia), but other than that he seems very healthy and happy, even with a deformed front paw.

Nublin is proceeding through his kitten vaccines. He is negative for FeLV/FIV. He has been neutered and microchipped.

He looks forward to finding a forever home.

Name: Nublin
Gender: Male/Neutered
Birthday: 6/16/26
Current Location: Northwood Animal Hospital
Minimum Adoption Donation: $100
