Nova - COURTESY POST's Story

Nova was found with her 3 sisters and brother in May of 2025 near Elm Street in Aberdeen. Their feral mother disappeared when they were barely 3 weeks old. We fed them for about a month until we were able to capture them, bring them to the vet and take them home. The girls were raised together and separated from the rest of our cats for about a year when we began to slowly integrate them.

Nova was always the bravest of the litter. She would approach me, allow me to pet her and try to leave their enclosure while the rest of them cowered in the corner. She has since become a boundless ball of energy, so she needs plenty of room to run and play. Nova also craves attention through petting, toys, or being picked up and held when the mood strikes her.

She gets along well with all of her siblings, and generally ignores most of our own cats, but she often fusses when they get too close to her. She doesn't attack unprovoked, so her reaction seems to be out of fear/mistrust rather than dominance/aggression. We think she would make a great family pet as the only cat in the home or with one of her sisters, but her compatibility with other cats really depends on their personalities.

Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, deworming, and flea prevention. Spayed/Neutered and Felv/Fiv combo neg.

First time pet owners, a personal reference is required. Must be over 21.

Current pet owners, pets must be fixed and up to date with vaccines. Vet reference required.

For any questions, contact Scott Tomestic at 413-626-0210 or tomesticsg@gmail.com.

Located in Rockingham, NC
