Nova's Story

Nova is a beautiful little girl with a sweet, gentle personality. She's the most reserved of her litter and has taken a little longer to warm up in her foster home, but she's making progress and we're so happy to see her coming out of her shell. Nova's favorite thing is chasing the red dot! Bring out the laser pointer and you'll see a whole different side of this girl. She loves playing with her littermates and is especially attached to her mama. She's definitely a Mama's girl. Her foster family has been working with her on getting comfortable with people, and she's come a long way. Nova now enjoys getting pets and is becoming more comfortable with them every day. She still doesn't love being held, but she's making progress and learning that people can be pretty great. We think she'll continue to blossom with patience, consistency, and time. She's also curious about the resident dog and likes watching her through the gate, but she can get nervous when the dog gets too close. A calm, respectful dog who can give her some space would be the best fit. Nova isn't going to be the kitten who runs right up to you and demands attention. She needs a little time to feel safe and get to know you, but we're already seeing more of her personality as she gets comfortable in foster care. We think Nova is going to be a really special companion for someone who is willing to give her the time and patience she needs.

Nova needs to be adopted with one of her siblings (Cosmo, Apollo, Luna or Orion) or into a home with a resident kitty to be her companion.

If you are interested in making this kitty a part of your family please go to our website and fill out an application: https://felinefriendsofsammamish.org/adoptt-a-cat/adoption-process/
