Nova's Story

Nova is a wonder, with the cards being stacked against her from a young age she sure has come quite a long way. When I first met Nova the first thing I noticed was how beautiful her eyes were, then how they complimented her fur. Now no one is perfect and neither was Nova. She was so unsure of the world around her when she came to us. So confused in her actions, wanting love, wanting the companionship of humans but fearing them at the same time. Spending time with Nova was a journey I am proud to say I took.

The adjustment period was rough on her, often showing both signs of wanting love and hating people at the same time, she was lost and confused yet I could tell she was happy to see that the staff here at Logan County Humane Society hadn't given up on her. When she let me touch her without being cranky I was so happy, and when I saw her crawling onto one of the volunteers laps all happy I wanted to jump for joy. The biggest achievement we have accomplished was when we did her photoshoot. She had show so much improvement in behavior that I knew she was ready to be posted for adoption.

Nova would do best in a home where she is the only cat. Because of her history which staff will provide upon request, she would be suited for someone who is really experienced with cats. Nova needs someone who will keep her forever and ever, and never give her away regardless of what happens, again this is due to her history of being passed around by many owners. Nova is not interested in other cats and does get hissy and growly with them, every now and then she will answer Zuma's cries
