NORA's Story
Nora is a 1-year-old brown tabby with a tender heart and the softest, most soulful eyes. She’s currently hanging out in our community room with her feline buddies, and she has a history of living happily with other cats. Having a kitty friend around gives her comfort and confidence, and she may enjoy a home with a gentle companion.

Nora is super shy at first and prefers to quietly observe the world from a cozy, safe spot. But beneath that timid exterior is a young girl who truly wants love — she just needs a patient person to help her feel secure. With time, consistency, and kindness, Nora is eager to build a bond and show her sweet side.

She would thrive in a calm, understanding home that will let her move at her own pace. The best moments with Nora will be the ones you earn — the first curious sniff, the first gentle lean-in for pets — and those quiet victories will mean everything.

If you have a soft spot for shy kitties and the patience to let love grow slowly, Nora could be your perfect match. Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
