This cat journeyed into the night and all the next day until it stumbled to a river and began to drink. It stayed in the shade by the river until hunger urged it on. A dwelling was found soon after and she was taken in by the lady of the house. What was once a refuge soon became one of hiding from the other cats that also lived in the house.
