Nola came to us beginning of March. A family had purchased her from Kijiji the month before but the son was allergic and the original owner would not return their messages. One of our volunteers asked if we could help. They had been told she was fixed and vaccinated but previous owner couldn't find paper work She went to our vet where she was flea treated, dewormed, received her FVCRP and rabies vaccines, microchipped and spayed - original owner had lied ( lol) . She went to her foster home where she mostly hid for the first couple of days. Who could blame her this was her 3rd home in just over a month. This is what her foster mom says: "She warmed up as trust was gained within two weeks. She was open to being picked up and snuggled. She does have strong boundaries and will swat if she doesn't want to be touched .She does like to spend time with her human and almost always sits next to me or near by. She is also happy when I come home and runs to the door and rolls over to greet me. She usually likes chin, head & back scratches and even head kisses. She is generally pretty quiet although she does get the zoomies from time to time. She is not super interested in play time but will sometimes play catch with her catnip mouse and feather wands. She is easily startled with loud noises or sudden movements in her direction - getting better as she adjusts to her new environment. She likes to tell you stories. " Her adoption fee is $250. She has gone through quite a few changes so just needs a home to call her home. She needs to go to a home with someone who will be patient while she adjusts to yet another new environment in a safe room with food, litter and toys. It is felt that she may do well with proper introduction to another non aggressive cat . She loves to be around her humans. She would not be good with really young children although the boy who loved her was around 13. She is in a foster home in Hamilton
