Noel & Nicholas 's Story
Noel is a gorgeous 7-month-old neutered male. He and his brother grew up outside with their mama, living on their own in an abandoned shed. They had little to no human contact beyond someone occasionally putting food out for them. Until about six weeks ago, they had never been up close with a person.

Noel is doing very well and is incredibly curious about affection, though he’s still scared. I’m not able to pick him up yet, and he does have a ways to go — but the progress is absolutely there. I can continue working with him for the next three to four months and help him become a wonderful house cat, or we can skip the middleman and place him with a patient, understanding home that is willing to continue his socialization journey.

It would be even more amazing if his brother Nicholas could be adopted with him. Nicholas is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous as well and the same age as Noel, just a bit larger in stature. He is much more fearful, but after six weeks in care, we’ve finally had a breakthrough this past week. He’s not quite as terrified of me as he was before and is starting to show curiosity. I’m not able to touch him yet, but the progress is meaningful and encouraging.

Both boys are incredibly beautiful, bonded, and have so much potential. I have no doubt that with time, patience, and love, they will grow into wonderful, affectionate companions.

They would likely do best in a calm, predictable home. Another friendly cat would probably be a great influence for them. Dogs scare them, and young children would be overwhelming, so a quieter household is ideal. With their gorgeous coats, they will also benefit from gentle grooming sessions down the road once they’re more comfortable. The most important thing is that you’re willing to go at their pace. I have no doubt they will be wonderful companions.

Their mama is truly an A+ cat — calm, soothing, and incredibly sweet — so I have no doubt that’s who these boys are underneath their fear. Noel and Nicholas adore each other and are often found cuddling and grooming one another.

For more information and to see if your home may be a good fit, please email us at TNRnorthplatte@gmail.com.
