They were diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and received 84 days of antiviral injections and passed an additional 84 day observation period. FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no continued care after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to felines coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation.
