Nixy - ADOPTION BY DONATION's Story

Nixy
Est DOB: 2.18.25
Sex: Female

Nixy came to me very scared. She was a semi feral cat who was set to be euthanized until Cat Therapy rescued her and gave her a second chance.

Nixy is still learning to trust people. Any change is very hard for her. She will hiss and “attack” not because she’s “mean” but because she’s scared, I’ve never once been touched by her, but I imagine human hands have not always been so kind to her. Shes been the best momma to her babies, despite having just been a baby herself.

Nixy loves food and treats. It’s the best way to get her to warm up, but it’s slow and takes time.

It’s been so rewarding watching her start to enjoy regular “cat” things like sleeping in the sun, climbing a cat tree, and playing with toys.

Nixy also has the sweetest meow. She chirps like a little bird!

Nixy really takes her cues from other cats, so she would do well in a home that has another perhaps more confident cat to help her warm up to people. She needs a home that won’t put expectations on her, and will let her be who she is and take the time she needs to warm up.

She might not never be a lap cat. But she’s so worthy of love.

Location: Foster Home

FILL OUT AN APPLICATION HERE -
https://cattherapyandrescue.com/adopt/
