Nixie's Story
Does your cat need a cat? Meet Nixie! Nixie came to the shelter as a young kitten who had not interacted with many people before and she's still learning to trust humans. She does, however, absolutely love other cats and would love nothing more than to be your cat's new best friend while she gets to know you!

Weight: 5 lbs (and growing!)

Spayed/Neutered: Yes!

Up to date on vaccines: Yes!

Microchipped: Yes!

Litter trained: Yes! They will potty in the litter box every time or nearly every time (rarely has accidents).

Cat sociability: They love them! They thrive with a cat buddy and are required to live in a forever home with at least one other cat.

Dog sociability: Unknown! They have never met a dog while in foster care.

Kid sociability: Stranger danger! They are reactive toward new people and may hiss, charge at, or swat at strangers, but they do eventually warm up with a proper introduction.

Likes: Napping with her cat friends, playing with the wand toy, collecting little stuffies in her bed

Dislikes: Huggers who don't ask first

Nixie is an under-socialized kitten who will need to be adopted into a home with other cats. She will require ongoing positive socialization to learn to be her best, most confident self!

If you'd like to meet Nixie, please fill out an adoption application at animalcareleague.org/adoptions and send us an email at adoption@animalcareleague.org to schedule an introduction!
