Nimbus's Story

Meet Nimbus!

Nimbus drifted into our rescue after a kind teacher and animal lover found her hanging around outside their school. The teacher’s class was learning about weather so they named her Nimbus, since she looked like a nimbus cloud with her gorgeous silver fur.

Nimbus loves things that are soft and fluffy just like her cloud namesake- soft blankets and squishmallows make naps simply divine. She also loves finding a beam of sun to bask in, and performing neighbourhood watch duties with her intense green eyes.

Nimbus is finding her way in the world and figuring out what it’s like to be part of a loving family. She loves attention, but not too much and on her own terms ( me too, girl). She is a purring machine when she’s being petted, but if you try to pick her up the claws might come out!

Nimbus is a tidy cat, she eats and drinks well, uses her litter box perfectly, and has mostly learned to keep her claws off the furniture.

Nimbus is living with a couple dogs and cats in her foster home currently, but is still figuring out how to coexist, so any dog or cat friends would have to be equally patient and easygoing.

Nimbus can get a little stormy if she’s overstimulated or has had enough playtime, so a home without young children would be best. But she’s still a young cloud and can be shaped into a wonderfully affectionate companion.

Nimbus is ready to be the silver lining in your life—bringing love, purrs, and a little extra sunshine to every day.

Born: March 17th, 2025
Gender: Female
Type: DSH
Adoption Fee: $100

If you are interested in meeting Nimbus, applications can be found here:

You can also visit us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/manitobagreatpyreneesrescue

Included in my adoption fees, Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue has taken care of the following:
Routine health check
Spay/Neuter
FVRCP & rabies vaccines
Deworming
Felk/FIV test (depending on age)
Tattoo
Microchip

Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue's Adoption Policy
The adoption process starts with an application form to find out more information about your family to ensure the best fit for the dog. Applications can be found at http://mgpr.weebly.com/ Second step is to have reference checks and vet checks. We want to ensure all dogs go to responsible loving homes. Thirdly, is the meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting. We encourage all members of your family to be in attendance at this visit as the dog will be an integral part of all of their lives. The final step of the adoption process is a home visit from one of our team members. The home visit allows us to see the environment in which the dog will be living as well as to offer any tips and advice to making your home dog friendly. Then your new family member will come home to shower your family with unconditional love.
