This loving, sweet natured FIV positive young male cat needs a forever home. He has been hanging out in my South Philly neighborhood for a couple of months. He was going from house to house and being fed by many of the neighbors, but no one would take him in. Someone did eventually agree to take him in, however, after a vet visit he was found to be FIV positive and the person will not keep him with his other cat. He is healthy otherwise, all shots are updated, no fleas and neutered. I took him in temporarily because I cannot put him back on the streets, especially with the cold weather coming. He is very gentle and likes when you run your hand under the covers so he can go after it. He gets along with other cats, one of the neighbor's children brought the cat into their home with other cats and they got along fine, no fighting or hissing. Unfortunately, this neighbor has too many cats right now and will not take in another one. He is only 2 years old, quite beautiful (long body and legs), very loving, and likes to have his belly rubbed.<br/>FIV cats can live long normal lives. They can only transmit the disease to other cats if they bite them deeply.
