Niko 's Story
Niko has had a couple of meet & greets with families that have children, and we realized pretty quickly that he will do best in a home with older teens (children 16+) or adults.

Niko is very attached to his foster mom (which is completely normal), and meet & greets are tough for him. He is a very sweet, loving boy who truly craves human attention—but he needs time to feel safe and comfortable, and he does best when introductions are slow and on his terms.

Niko is not feral and not undersocialized—he simply has a timid personality at first. Niko came from a hoarding situation, and cats from those environments often haven’t had consistent one-on-one attention, so it can take them a bit longer to trust and settle in.

If you’re a patient, gentle home willing to go slow, Niko will reward you with a very special bond. 🐾

This handsome boy is 4.

Niko ideal home is a quiet, low-traffic household with someone who is cat-savvy, patient, and understanding. He needs an adopter who will let Niko settle in at his own pace—no rushing, no pressure—just gentle consistency and time to build trust.

Niko can live with another mellow cat or could go solo if someone is home a lot ❤️

If interested in adopting Niko please fill out an application on our website

https://www.enfieldcommunitycatproject.com/
