His elderly owner became overwhelmed caring for multiple cats and sadly passed away, leaving the kitties alone in the home for several days. When we rescued Nicholas, he was hungry, sickly, and unsure of the world around him.Because Nick didn’t receive consistent care or socialization early on, he’s still learning how to trust people and build confidence. He’s a very sweet boy at heart—just timid and nervous at times. He’s not aggressive in any way; he simply needs patience, gentleness, and time to feel safe.The beautiful thing about Nicholas is that he wants to trust. He’s already learning that humans can be kind, that pets feel good, and that love isn’t something to fear.
