Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. <br/><br/><br/>NEZUMI was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2022. He was young. Well fast forward to a few years ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. NEZUMI is now ready for adoption.<br/><br/><br/>NEZUMI can be shy at first. He gets comfortable very quick and is curious about everything. He can get startled, but will come back and investigate. He will then throw himself on the floor and demand attention. He is a very good assistant and loves to help you do your chores. He especially loves the mop. Oh and quite fond of his (we think) sister KOALA.<br/><br/><br/>NEZUMI is such a sweet love bug. All he wants is pets and love. Loves to play. He really loves to play with anything and makes you laugh with his silliness. NEZUMI comes running when it's time to get his can food. He will actually let you know to hurry up! He has the cutest face and his beautiful coat is very unique. His purr box is very loud. He's looking for his REAL FUREVER home. <br/><br/><br/>NEZUMI is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / EGYPTIAN MAU MIX. He is about 4 years 1 month old. He has lived with cats. He has lived with dogs. He has never been around children.<br/><br/><br/>NEZUMI is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS:<br/><br/>1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)<br/>2. Fill Out Online Form<br/>3. Submit Online Application<br/>4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview<br/>5. Will be notified of Approved Application<br/>6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)<br/>7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty<br/>8. Sign Adoption Contract<br/>9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)<br/>10. Take the Kitty Home<br/><br/><br/>********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP**********<br/><br/><br/>VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. <br/><br/><br/>Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.<br/><br/><br/>******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ******************<br/><br/><br/>The kitties at foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.<br/><br/><br/>PETSMART <br/><br/>in City of Industry, California off Colima Road<br/><br/>in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue<br/><br/>in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue<br/><br/>in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue<br/><br/><br/>The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!<br/><br/><br/>************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************<br/><br/><br/>If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.<br/><br/><br/>Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.<br/><br/><br/>We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.<br/><br/><br/>NEZUMI is ALREADY fully vetted.<br/>The adoption fee of $200 covers: <br/><br/><br/>Neuter<br/>FVRCP shots<br/>RABIES shot<br/>FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)<br/>Drontal Dewormer<br/>Stronghold Flea Control<br/>Microchip<br/><br/><br/>We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.<br/><br/><br/>If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby!
