Neuman's Story

This sweet pumpkin headed boy has a big head and a big heart! He had a distinct telephone ring meow and loves to sit on your lap. He is FIV and was very sick when he arrived. He is much better after two months of medicine but seems like he might always have a little squinty drippy left eye. Cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives and can live with other cats. He is a robust guy with a very soft coat that is lovely to pet. He is chill about other cats but hates dogs. Neuman is a complete love who can’t wait to be someone’s special guy! Familiar Hearts Animal Society's Adoption Policy

We always have potential adopters fill out our adoption application first so we can first vet them and make sure we approve of them as adopters before then inviting them to meet the animal(s) they are interested in. We feel this not only saves time for our fosters, it helps us get to know the applicant better and better be able to match them with the potential pet that is best for them. We always make sure everyone has a lot of time to deeply consider the adoption before finalizing it. The adoption is considered finalized after the adoption contract is reviewed and signed and the fee is paid. We then tranfer all the vet records and microchip information to the new family. We also offer behavioral support before and after adoption and one free training session with our dog trainer for dog adopters.
