Nettle's Story

Nettle and her big mitts are waiting to find their purrfect furever!

We did previously find a home for Nettle, but she was a bit too spicy for things to work out. She’s now the last of her litter waiting to find her people.

Nettie was rescued with her siblings after calling the woods home for their first 6-7 weeks (they’re now 12). They had very little human interaction up until that point. Nettle has always been the more scared of her siblings, but she’s been making progress each day.

When Nettle gets scared she can have a bit of a literal hissy fit and can try to swat or mouth her way out of the situation. This does not happen nearly as often as it used to, but because of this, Nettle needs a special home!

She really is the sweetest little baby when she’s comfortable. She happily lays on her back in my arms and loves all the kisses. Foster dad can handle her with no issues. She has no complaints about hanging out with her people when things aren’t scary. She loves to play and has come so far. To continue her progress, she needs the right humans (and kitty friend) to give her a chance!

Nettle needs a quieter home. Starting her off in a smaller room until she feels comfortable is necessary. She will need her people to go slow but also give her a little bit of forced love! Someone that works from home would be great. Couch or office time can be the best time for socializing kittens. She needs someone that understands she’s just a scared little baby. She does spend time with my dogs but high energy dogs would be a lot. She needs a home with another friendly kitten/cat or two that can help her gain some confidence. No kids.

I have all the tips and tricks to make sure Nettle will be successful in her forever home, with time. She even has lots of potential to become a social love bug. We just need some humans with the right environment, willing to put in the effort to get her there!

Apply??
www.saltyanimalrescue.com/adopt
