Nessie's Story
I’m Nessie — professional survivor, certified sweetheart, and proud girlfriend to fellow shelter kitty O’Doyle.

When I came here as a stray in March 2025, I was terribly sick. I had a painful infection and undiagnosed diabetes, and my tiny body was struggling. The SPCA stepped in just in time. They gave me medicine, careful meals, and patience. They gave me a future.

Now, I’m bright-eyed, healthy, and eager to become my future special someone's very best friend. I do have diabetes, but it’s well-managed with a special diet — that’s all I need to stay happy and thriving. In return, I offer unwavering sweetness, soft head bumps, and loyal companionship.

I’ve been here almost a year now. A whole year of second chances, but not yet a forever home. Until then, I’m sharing a room with my new beau, O’Doyle. He makes the waiting easier. But what would make it best of all? A human to call my very own.

*Nessie adores the company of other cats and would be happiest with a feline friend by her side. She would especially love to go home with O’Doyle — who also manages diabetes — as the two have formed a tender little partnership while they wait.
