Nero

Meet Nero, a handsome little black panther with a playful personality, a curious nature, and a heart just waiting to be won over!

Nero and his sister Syrah were discovered hiding in a culvert near a Southeast Texas bayou - not exactly the safest neighborhood for two tiny kittens! With alligators and coyotes lurking nearby, these babies were dangerously close to becoming part of the food chain. Fortunately, rescuers got to them first!

Nero might let his sister Syrah take the lead when it comes to being brave, but don't let that fool you. This little guy is every bit as curious and adventurous once he feels comfortable!

His favorite hobby? Chasing, wrestling, and playing with Syrah! These two can turn just about anything into a game, and watching their antics is better than television.

Nero can be a little wary of new people at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet boy who enjoys being held and loved on. He just needs a little time to decide you're worthy of his affection!

He's great with other cats and would enjoy having a feline playmate. Dogs are still a bit of a mystery to him, as he hasn't had much exposure to them, so slow introductions would be best.

Nero has already survived the wilds of Southeast Texas. Now he's ready to trade culverts and coyotes for comfy beds, endless toys, and a family who will love him forever.

Who needs a fancy house panther when you can adopt your very own bayou-born mini panther?
