Nemo, Female, 8 months old<br/><br/>Meet Nemo – a sweet kitten who "just keeps swimming!"<br/><br/>At just 8 months old, Nemo has already shown us what it means to be strong and resilient. This playful, affectionate kitten was found as a stray and quickly stole everyone’s hearts with her goofy antics and love for human attention. <br/><br/>Nemo was born with hind limb irregularities that make her walk and move a bit differently (at times dragging her legs behind her), but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit! She’s full of energy, loves her toys (especially her cat ball track!), and adores snuggling in small boxes. She spent many months in a loving foster home, and we learned so much about her! Nemo absolutely LOVES dogs and would love a dog that enjoys snuggling with a cat!! Nemo is so ready to find her forever home now!<br/><br/>Because of her mobility challenges, Nemo needs a special adopter who can give her the extra care she deserves. <br/><br/>Nemo's ideal adopter will need to be prepared to get her established with a full-service vet to help any challenges she may face as she gets older. <br/><br/>Despite her challenges, Nemo enjoys life to the fullest. She’s friendly with other cats and dogs, food-motivated (perfect for training and nail trims!), and always ready to play or cuddle!<br/><br/>If you’ve ever wanted to make a truly life-changing difference, Nemo is your girl. She just needs someone special to give her the chance she deserves!<br/><br/>From her foster:<br/>“NEMO! Oh, this girl will definitely be leaving with a big piece of my heart! She is 100% full throttle all the time! She moves like a bullet and only slows down to “tag” you before she scoots away! Her purrs start the moment you open the door or say her name! Nemo doesn’t think of herself as different-she just lives life to the fullest! She adores Daisy (resident dog!) Daisy just stands there while Nemo runs around her. She would love a home of her very own where she can scoot like the wind down hallways and play tag with her people and animals friends! She does have some special needs but don’t tell her! She loves the way she moves-full on! Nemo is absolutely fearless. She has learned to climb the cat tower and just wants to be a normal cat. She truly does not know that she’s a bit “different” from other cats!! PS-she lloovvess bare feet-so be warned ! lol”<br/><br/>All cats receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, and spayed/neutered. Cats over 3 months of age are microchipped and FIV/feline leukemia tested. <br/><br/>No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will not be accepted in advance and will be filled out at the shelter upon adoption. We want you to meet the purrrrfect feline for you and your lifestyle! FAPL is open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 11am-6:30pm. Sundays 12:00-3:00pm. Closed to the public Mondays. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. <br/><br/>Upon adoption, all cats must go home in a carrier. You may bring one of your own or purchase one from FAPL for a small fee. Please remember, the carrier cannot be opened until safely within your home.
