Nemo's Story

Meet Nemo!<br/>Nemo came to the shelter after being found as a stray who had been hit by a car. Nemo has recovered nicely at the shelter and has turned out to be quite a love bug among the volunteers here. He enjoys sitting on laps, temptations cat treats and is doing great w the cats here.<br/><br/>His ideal home would be a more quiet one with no children or much older children. We have discovered he just does not like the company of smaller kids. He is out daily with the cats at the shelter and does well. His favorite time of day is when he can climb up on a lap and just hang out. He would most likely be fine with dogs if they are dogs who have lived w cats and respect his space...no chasing him allowed!!! Nemo is very dog like and does recognize new people, so a couple of meet and greets may be in order for his potential adopter to see his amazing self!!!!<br/><br/>If interested, please call 508-679-6446 or email swanseashelter@yahoo.com

Town of Swansea Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
All of our adoptable animals are vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped. All animals, if not done, are also spayed or neutered prior to being placed in a home.The adoption process is fairly simple; there is an application to complete. Once completed the application is reviewed, references are checked and, if approved, the animal is released to the adoption applicant. Adoption fees are as follows: $175.00 for cats and $250.00 for dogs. Please call to schedule an appointment.
