She is in a wonderful foster home, and now ready for YOU!!<br/><br/>Meet Nemo – a sweet kitten who "just keeps swimming!"<br/><br/>At just 6 months old, Nemo has already shown us what it means to be strong and resilient. This playful, affectionate kitten was found as a stray and quickly stole everyone’s hearts with her goofy antics and love for human attention. <br/><br/>Nemo was born with hind limb irregularities that make her walk and move a bit differently (at times dragging her legs behind her), but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit! She’s full of energy, loves her toys (especially her cat ball track!), and adores snuggling in small boxes.<br/><br/>Because of her mobility challenges, Nemo needs a special adopter who can give her the extra care she deserves. She’s mostly consistent with using her litter box, but sometimes urinates next to it or leaks a little when excited. Her new family will need to:<br/><br/>Keep her clean and dry to prevent urine scald.<br/>Monitor for UTIs and provide gentle daily care.<br/>Support her mobility—she could even benefit from a wheelchair or physical therapy!<br/><br/>Nemo's ideal adopter will need to be prepared to get her established with a full-service vet to help any challenges she may face as she gets older. <br/><br/>Despite her challenges, Nemo enjoys life to the fullest. She’s friendly with other cats and dogs, food-motivated (perfect for training and nail trims!), and always ready to play or cuddle!<br/><br/>If you’ve ever wanted to make a truly life-changing difference, Nemo is your girl. She just needs someone special to give her the chance she deserves! Because of her special needs, Nemo is still in a foster home. Interested adopters will need to submit an adoption application to adoptions@frienshipapl.org.<br/><br/><br/>All cats receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, and spayed/neutered. Cats over 3 months of age are microchipped and FIV/feline leukemia tested. <br/><br/>No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will not be accepted in advance and will be filled out at the shelter upon adoption. We want you to meet the purrrrfect feline for you and your lifestyle! FAPL is open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 11am-6:30pm. Sundays 12:00-3:00pm. Closed to the public Mondays. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. <br/><br/>Upon adoption, all cats must go home in a carrier. You may bring one of your own or purchase one from FAPL for a small fee. Please remember, the carrier cannot be opened until safely within your home.
