Nebula's Story

Listen up, my furiends! We are on a mission to help our long-term Scruffy Paws residents find their furever families, and next up, we have the stunning, out of this world- Nebula!

Miss Nebula has been with us for 1,279 days! Basically, for 3.5 years, she has been at the shelter, which is practically her whole life since she is 3.5-4 years old. Nebula was trapped along with her siblings. They were young teenagers and spicy spicy. Luckily, all of Nebula's siblings were adopted over the years. Nebula has always been a bit shy and, unfortunately, looked over during meet-and-greets. Nebula is independent and would do fine on her own. She could also co-exist with another cat that respects her space.

Her role at the shelter? The queen mother, when all the cats come out to play, watches them from afar, and when they get too rowdy and try to pounce on her, she will whack them over the side of the head, reminding them who is in charge. It's actually pretty awesome, as she is the matriarch of the Scruffy cats! We have spotted her playing with the other cats on occasion. She LOVES her wand and feather toys. Yells at you during meal time. Nebula enjoys petting once she gets to know you. She can still be skittish at times and will need some time to get comfortable in her new home, but we expect her to do just fine once she is settled. She is not a fan of being handled. We can do it, but she is not a fan. Older respectful kids probably best. No clue about dogs but guessing she would definitely not like any that are up in her face.

Nebula needs a chance. Just a chance. Is there anyone out there willing to do just that?

Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. The bio is the best place to find the most current and important information about their needs, personality, and ideal home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! If this post is still up, we are still accepting applications for this cat(s)/kitten(s). There's no need to email us about availability, just submit an application if you're interested! For more information about our adoption process, please visit our website: https://scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/about-adoption/

All adoption fees include:
- Spay/neuter surgery Adoption Process
- Microchip
- Rabies and distemper vaccinations
- Proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing
- Flea treatment & deworming
- A veterinary exam

Please Note: Scruffy Paws operates by appointment only and is not open to the public.
