Nala's Story

NALA was brought to us about 6 years ago, by a neighbor who took him in after seeing him get kicked a few times. The neighbor found him a home but he was lost by the new owners shortly after arrival. The neighbor was contacted by Nala's chip. That's how & when Nala arrived at our Adoption Center.

Nala was with us for about 3+years. He didn't always meet well with people because the center can be a little overwhelming for some cats. Although he's a larger boy he's a little insecure about the cats surrounding him. He can get overstimulated and will let you know when he is done having attention paid to him. Sometimes with a nip or bite.

He was eventually adopted, and his new owners came and picked him up and loved him unconditionally, as he did them. In his new home he was friendly, social and loves attention. He even slept with his human parents. Never bit anyone. Unfortunately months after his adoption his human dad passed and now a couple of years later his human mom passed away.

Nala is about 8 years old. He is now back with us and we would like a foster or adopter for this special boy. He can live with another cat with the proper introduction, but that cat cannot be dominant. He has been alone with his people for about 2 years and as you can see he has thrived. This proves he can be a wonderful companion given the right circumstances.

He has had surgery due to a urinary issue. He is on a urinary food. The Cat's Meow will provide that food and medical care for him in a foster or adopters home. If you have questions, or are interested in adopting or fostering Nala, please call or text 575-202-1674 or email nmkimj@gmail.com

Come on, give this special boy the life he deserves!
(updated 2-10-26)
