Nala's Story

Hi there... I'm Nala.

If you've ever wanted to share your home with a confident, slightly sassy, absolutely gorgeous tabby queen... well, you may have just found her.

When I first arrived at the adoption center, I'll admit I was feeling a little overwhelmed. New place, new smells, lots of unfamiliar faces — it was a lot for a lady like me. I spent some time quietly observing from the back of my kennel, accepting gentle head scratches while I figured out if these humans were worthy of my trust.

Good news: some of them passed the test.

Now that I've settled in, my true personality has started to shine. I'm confident, curious, and a bit of what the humans call a “bossy lady.” I get along with the other cats just fine, but let's be clear — I have zero tolerance for nonsense. If someone gets too pushy or annoying, I'll politely (or not-so-politely) remind them that I run a tight ship around here.

That said, I'm also a big fan of pets and attention — when I decide it's time. I'll come over for head scratches and affection, and I'm very good at letting you know when I'd like some love. I'm not much of a fan of being picked up or manhandled, though. A queen prefers to approach her subjects on her own terms, thank you very much.

My favorite place to spend time is perched high on my cat tree where I can survey my kingdom. From up there, I can keep an eye on everything... including the lesser cats below. Someone has to maintain order, after all.

If you appreciate a cat with personality, confidence, and just the right amount of sass, I might be your perfect match. I'll keep your home in line, supervise daily activities, and remind you when it's time to give me attention.

After all... every kingdom needs a queen.

You can meet this furry feline friend at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center in Andover, MN. We typically have around 20 adoptable cats on site—each one eager to meet their new family. Our visiting hours are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3–7 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM–2 PM.
14033 Round Lake Blvd NW, Andover, MN

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.

The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.

The Rescue Crew's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet through The Rescue Crew! Your desire to provide a loving forever home to a rescued animal helps us in our shared goal to “Save a Life Today.” We are a completely volunteer-run, foster-based rescue, which means all of our animals live in home environments—not kennels—while they await adoption. This allows us to learn as much as possible about each pet’s personality, preferences, and needs so we can help make the best possible match for both the animal and the adopter. Our adoption process may take a little time, and you might notice we ask a lot of questions. That’s because we want to ensure a lasting and happy match for everyone involved. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers—these questions simply help us guide you toward the pet who will fit best with your family, lifestyle, and expectations. Many of the animals who come into our care have faced hardship, uncertainty, or even the risk of euthanasia. Our mission is to give them a second chance—and to place them in loving, responsible, lifelong homes where they can finally feel safe and secure. If you see an animal you’re interested in, please submit an application through our website at www.rescuecrew.org/adoption-basics as soon as possible. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it will help ensure your place in line for that animal—or another pet who might be a perfect match. Thank you for choosing adoption and for helping us continue our lifesaving work. Together, we’re giving hope and homes to animals who need them most.
