Nacho's Story

Best Match:

Seeking an adopter with some experience
Could join a calm home with teens
May be okay with other cats
Needs to be indoor only

Nacho is super friendly, and loves to run up and greet guests for head and chest scritches —and has a special love for his person. When you're alone with him, he curls up against your leg for a nap, and makes sure to nudge your phone out of your hand if he's expecting pets. He'll give you space at night, but not too much — he loves to curl up near your feet at the end of the bed. Nacho is a chatty boy when he knows its meal time — he is making sure you are doing it right and on time!

He can get excited sometimes when awaiting food, and also with petting and playing- and may grab and nibble on you. Knowing cat body language and continuing to help him learn better ways to get your attention is key with this enthusiastic boy. With petting- once you know his cues, and favorite/least-favorite spots to be pet, it's easy to avoid triggering the overstimulation but there will likely be an adjustment period!

Nacho loves to play in bursts of energy, very enthusiastically, throughout the day. He can entertain himself with a ball or spring, but nothing beats a good play session with someone else. He likes chasing after wand toys, especially ones with feathers. He’ll stalk them from behind chairs or his scratching post and will scramble or jump after them like they’re his prey. He's almost always ready to play, but about 10 minutes is the perfect amount of time before he's ready for another nap.

Nacho has feline asthma and food allergies: he’s on a special diet which he happily eats, and looks forward to his kibble reward that comes with using his inhaler.

Nacho is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
