Myra's Story

Myra is a lovely 2-year-old short-haired gray tabby with white. She has a pretty face and a quietly sweet soul. She is very hesitant with new people and places. She will likely hides for a couple of weeks in a new home, then start cautiously venturing out. She will need a little patience, but the upfront time to help her adjust will be richly rewarded.

Once she settles in, Myra blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion. She enjoys pets and attention, but is also a cat who appreciates her independant alone time. She’s perfectly content spending quiet time on her own before coming back for more love. It’s a balance that makes her a wonderful, easy companion.

Myra relies a lot on her brother Scooter to break the ice and make sure everything and everyone is safe before she starts to trust. While Scooter would likely be fine without Myra, we don't think she would be okay without him. We want to see them stay together so they can continue to give each other confidence and comfort in their new home.

Myra has never been around cats other than he brother or dogs. She would do best in a home with just Scooter. Because she is easily frightened, Myra would not thrive in a noisy or highly active household, and she would not do well with small children. A calm, patient home with respectful older children (or adults only) would allow her to live her best life and be a much-loved part of the family.

If you’re looking for a gentle, thoughtful companion — and are open to welcoming a beautifully bonded pair — Myra (and Scooter) may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.

Catmandu's Adoption Policy
Catmandu is located in Carson City, NV. We do not ship cats cross-country. You must be able to visit In person prior to adoption. We ask that all family members come to meet the cat, especially if there are children. Spay/neuter, shots to date, and deworming (if necessary) are included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $100 for kittens under 1 year old; and $50 for adult cats. We strongly prefer to have adopters complete an application and make an appointment to meet the cats. Because we have an extremely small staff, this ensures that we will be able to give each potential adopter plenty of individual time and attention to help them select the perfect cat for their family and situation. It is very important to us that it is a good fit and the adoption is for the lifetime of the cat. Appointments are available Tuesday through Sunday.
