Meet MYA SELINA & ZOEY TEGEN!<br/><br/>SELINA was a teen mom when she and her daughter, TEGEN, came to us. They had been found outside in the cold, fending for themselves at an apartment complex. A Good Samaritan brought them inside to keep them safe, then reached out to us for help.<br/><br/>In January 2025, they were adopted together. SELINA was about 10 months old, and TEGEN was just 4 months old. They were renamed MYA and ZOEY. <br/><br/>Their adopter is now moving to California without them, so the girls are back in their original foster home and looking for a forever home together.<br/><br/>MYA is an outgoing, affectionate cat who loves being petted and does well with other cats and dogs. ZOEY is much shyer and needs time to feel safe. She won’t show her best self at a first meeting, and she isn’t ready to be petted yet. Since returning to foster care in early September, she has begun coming out for a Churu—a small but encouraging step! (She is food motivated.) Her previous adopter was able to pet her on the back, so we hope she’ll grow comfortable with gentle affection again in her own time. In our experience, patience and perseverence prevail with cats like ZOEY, but you need to be committed for the long haul.<br/><br/>MYA will happily keep you company while ZOEY settles in. Both girls get along with other cats and dogs, but they need a quiet, patient home where ZOEY can set the pace. Because she startles easily, a home without small children would be best.<br/><br/>MYA is now 3 years old and ZOEY just turned 2.<br/><br/>Both cats are spayed, up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccines, and negative for FIV/FeLV.
